New Luce Community Trust

Membership

If you live in the Community Council area of New Luce, then you live within the Trust’s boundary and you can become a member.  Members will have the right to attend the General Meetings of the Company including the Annual General Meeting and each member has an equal vote.  It will be the Members who will elect the people who serve as Directors of the Trust and who will be entitled to stand for appointment themselves as a Director of the Company.

Membership is open to Individuals aged 18 or over who:

  • are ordinarily resident in the Community; and
  • are entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes the Community or part of it; and
  • who support the Purposes of the Trust.

You can check if your address lies within the Trust’s boundary because it falls within New Luce Community Council area by going to the Dumfries & Galloway Council website and entering your address here.  If you decide that you want to become a member, an application form can be downloaded from the Downloads page.

The liability of all members of the Company for its debts and liabilities is limited to £1.
